Dan Buholtz has more than 21 years of experience in the safety and security industry. Dan started his career by serving our country in the U.S. Marine Corps where he became a Force Reconnaissance Marine (Special Forces) and served as an assault element team member. During his enlistment Dan conducted real-world operations in Africa, the Balkans and Middle East. After leaving the military Dan went into the private sector and worked for two highly coveted security firms. Over the next 10 years Dan protected U.S. ambassadors, high-ranking military officials, as well as other dignitaries traveling throughout Afghanistan, Iraq, Kurdistan and Pakistan as part of the Worldwide Protective Services for the State Department. After leaving the private sector Dan transitioned into Law Enforcement where he served as a Lieutenant/SWAT Commander for a local Sheriff's Office.

Currently, Dan serves as the Director of Safety and Security for Lovejoy Independent School District. In this role, Dan is responsible for the safety and security of 600+ staff members and more than 4,000 students. Dan is also the co-founder of the Outlast Response Group, which is a company that provides comprehensive safety and security training, and consulting for corporations and other business entities.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies and a Master’s in Business Administration. Dan also has a current TCOLE and School Marshal license within the state of Texas.
